Unlike most integrations between workforce management and payroll systems, which typically require exporting an Excel file from the scheduling system and manually importing it into the payroll system. Combining Salary with Workfeed reduces the process to just a few clicks.
You can set up the integration in under a minute. Once it's configured, employee hours, hourly rates, and employee data are automatically synchronized between the two platforms. When it's time to run payroll, simply click a button to send the hours directly to Salary for payroll processing.
For the integration to work correctly, certain data must match between the two systems - particularly employee information and the payroll period.
Employee Data
Employees are matched using either their CPR number or email address.
Salary requires a CPR number.
Workfeed only requires an email address.
For a 100% match, we recommend adding each employee's CPR number to Workfeed.
If employees only have an email address in Salary and no CPR number in Workfeed, matching errors may occur. To resolve this, add the missing information to the appropriate system.
Payroll Period
The payroll period must be the same in both systems.
In Workfeed, you choose the payroll period yourself, but it must match an active payroll period in Salary.
Errors can occur if, for example, Workfeed uses a payroll period from the 20th to the 19th, while Salary is configured to use calendar months.
If you need to set up custom payroll periods in Salary, please contact Salary Support for assistance.
Tip: When transitioning to a new payroll period, some shifts may need to be registered manually. We recommend testing the integration well before running payroll to ensure everything works as expected.

My Export Is Failing – What Should I Do?
🔗 The integration normally runs smoothly, but if something goes wrong, here are a few troubleshooting tips. Check the following:
Workfeed Setup
Incorrectly configured pay supplements can affect the hours transferred to Salary.
Hourly Rate
All employees must have an hourly rate assigned.
Go to: Settings → Time Registration → Hourly Rate or Team List → Edit Profile → Payroll → Hourly Rate
Export Status
After exporting, Workfeed displays the export status, where you can see exactly which employees, if any, could not be exported.
In most cases, this is because the employee's email address or CPR number does not match the corresponding employee in Salary.
Common Issues
A shift exceeds 24 hours on the same day (for example, due to duplicate shifts).
Hours are being exported for an employee during a period that starts before the employee's contract start date in Salary.
There are no open payroll runs for the selected period in Salary.
The employee does not have an hourly rate assigned in Workfeed.
The employee's CPR number or email address does not match between Workfeed and Salary.
There is an approved payroll run in Salary, which prevents importing hours for previous payroll periods. In this case, reopen the relevant payroll run or wait until the current payroll process has been completed. After that, the import should work again.
Solution: Use a Manual CSV Export
Create a manual export as a CSV file and upload it to Salary.
If there are any issues, Salary will display an error message that makes it easy to identify what needs to be corrected. Once you've updated the setup, simply try the import again.
