Set up asset management

Learn how to register when assets such as computers or phones are handed out to and returned by your employees.

Note: This feature requires the Premium package.

With Salary Premium, you get access to Salary HR administration, where you can manage and keep track of the company’s assets — all in one place.

The asset module does more than give you an overview of which equipment has been assigned to which employees. It also helps ensure that assets are returned when an employee leaves the company.

With this module, you get a simple and efficient tool for keeping track of company assets — and for making sure nothing is forgotten when employees change jobs.

How to manage assets in Salary

As an administrator, you can assign assets to employees using a range of standard categories: IT equipment, Phone, Workwear, Transport, and Other.

When registering an asset, you can:

  • Add a handout date and, if relevant, a return date

  • Add a note with relevant details about the asset, such as serial number, condition, model, etc.

  • Create your own asset categories

  • Export a report with all assets per employee

  • Receive a notification during the final payroll run if an asset has not been registered as returned.

Under the HR → Assets tab, you can always see an overview of which employees have assets that are currently assigned or have been returned.

  • Click on an employee in the overview to see the full details:

  • Which assets have been handed out to the employee

  • Handout date and, if relevant, return date

  • Notes and any other information you have registered
