Blocking a company due to unpaid invoices

Get an overview of what happens if you have unpaid invoices in Salary, including notifications, company suspension, and how to check, pay, and update your payment information

To ensure correct payment for the use of Salary, we suspend companies that have unpaid invoices.

How it works

If you have one or more unpaid invoices, the following will happen:

  1. You will receive an email informing you about the overdue payment.

  2. You have 7 days from the date of the first email to make the payment.

  3. If the invoice is still unpaid, you will receive a reminder.

  4. After 14 days without payment, your company will be suspended in Salary.

Once your company has been suspended, you will not be able to approve payroll until the payment has been completed.

How to check if you have unpaid invoices

  1. Go to Company.

  2. Click Invoices.

  3. Review the list of invoices.

  4. Any invoices marked as Awaiting payment must be paid.

How to pay an invoice

  1. Go to Company.

  2. Click Invoices.

  3. Find the relevant invoice.

  4. Click Retry transfer.

  5. We will then charge your linked payment card, and you will be able to run payroll again.

Once the payment has been registered, your access will automatically be restored (if your company was suspended).

How to update your payment card

If your payment card has expired or been declined, you can update it:

  1. Go to Company.

  2. Go to Invoices.

  3. Click Change payment card.

  4. Enter your new card details and save them.

❗ Important information

  • Company suspension happens automatically if payment is not received.

  • Access will only be restored once all overdue invoices have been paid.

  • We recommend keeping an active payment card or bank transfer agreement linked to your account to avoid service interruptions.

  • If you already have an active payment card linked to your account, you do not need to add a new one. Simply follow the steps under How to pay an invoice.
